I am applying to transfer to the top schools (UPenn, Cornell, Duke, etc)

Stats:

-33 ACT (Superscore 34) (Plan on retaking just to get a 34 in general)
-GPA- 4.0 so far(16 credits)
-High School GPA 3.9/4.0
-800 Math II
-730 Bio E

-Take my word for it, when I say they are perfect.

-Really good rec from my anthropology TF (which the schools said was okay since my classes have 300+ students)

-Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program ( member)
-Medical Ethics Society(Member)
-Creative Writing Club(Member)
-Green Initiative (President)
-Research Intern Ecuador-- aided in the discovery of previously undocumented species of flower
-Senior Prefect
-Architect Intern
-Surgical Volunteer at Stouffville Hospital

Honors:
-Graduated Summa Cum Laude from High School
-Presidential Scholar at current university
-Top Ten out of 225 teams in FOCUS Climate Change Video Contest (Had red carpet video
-Engineering Division, First Place, Destination Imagination (Regional/State)
-Many Faces of Markham, First Place (District)

Reason to Transfer:

I have a really good academic reason to attend these schools so I do fulfill that requirement.

Transferring for the sake of prestige is not a good reason to transfer. You already have a 4.0 with a presidential scholarship where you’re at. It sounds like you’re looking at medical school too. Right now, if you keep doing what you’re doing, and score high on the MCAT, you’d get in with little problem. Med school is ridiculously expensive, and having low not no debt coming out of undergraduate puts you at a huge financial advantage. You’ll be surprised how many students don’t finish medical school because they can’t get private loans…because they went into medical school with $100k in student debt.

I was interested in reading your app up until you claimed that your essays were perfect. anyone with such glowing confidence wouldn’t feel it necessary to visit cc – you’re a perfect student in your eyes! only time will tell whether your big, ripe ego was worth the trouble. good luck!
