<p>Hello, I am currently a Junior in high school in San Diego, CA. It would be awesome if you could give me your opinion about my chances and possibly give me some additional advice if you have some.</p>

Animal Science</p>

<p>2020 (first try at the beginning of junior year)
Should I try again maybe? I feel pretty confident in that score but please share your opinion.</p>
<p>I haven't taken any SAT subject tests...should I?</p>

IS IT OK THAT I AM NOT TAKING PRE CALC H OR AP CALC IN JUNIOR YEAR???????????? A lot of kids at my school have taken pre calc honors in junior year, and I know that taking Calc is supposedly important if you want to get into a UC...can anyone confirm this or share their opinion?</p>

<p>My total GPA (weighted) right now(after all of this semesters final grades have been entered): 4.1</p>
<p>My Sophomore and Junior year GPA (weighted)so far(still one semester of junior year left) I recently took a tour at UC Davis and they said that they only really look at the GPA from your 10 and 11 years.====== 4.167</p>
<p>If i get an A in all my classes next semester, then my 10-11 GPA would be: 4.1875
I'm fairly certain I will get all A's next semester.</p>
<p>Unweighted GPA at the moment: 3.94</p>
<p>Extracurricular:</p>
<p>San Diego Youth Symphony(a very respectable youth orchestra in San Diego)(semi-professional) for 7 years</p>
<p>played trumpet for 10 years</p>
<p>volunteered at a prominent animal shelter: right now for about 250 hours, but by the time I apply for college, it will be around 350 hours</p>
<p>I am working at the moment towards interning or just accompanying the Veterinarian at the animal shelter (veterinary experience) I am very interested in continuing from an animal science major undergrad to vet school. </p>
<p>Volunteered at my church for the past 6 years. I played the trumpet at most masses...about 300 hours
dont know if this counts since it is religious...anybody kknow?????????????????</p>
<p>Participated in Comedy Sportz Improv Club at my school. It is basically a comedy improv team that is very popular at my school. </p>
<p>with my school band, I have traveled to Ireland and Australia and played trumpet around those countries....I don't know if that adds anything to my application...so ya.</p>
