Chance me? UChicago, Northwestern, ...

I'm sort of new on CC, so here goes nothing!

I'm interested in applying to UChicago (where my brother is going to school although it is probably a high reach), Northwestern, University of Michigan, George Washington University, John Hopkins, UC Berkeley, Tufts, and my mom is begging me to apply to Harvard because my dad went there :/ so yeah all over the board

not sure what to include here, but..
GPA: 4.0 unweighted
class rank: 1
ACT: 29 (retaking in sept. hoping for 30 or above)
3 yrs varsity tennis, national honor society (secretary), DECA, band, big brothers big sisters, working towards 200 volunteer services hrs, live in small rural town, already confirmed teacher recommendation (best teacher in the school.. will write very good one!)

umm.. i'm sort of blanking at the moment and not sure what else to include. however i would really like some other ideas as to where i should apply!

i'm interested in studying international relations or journalism

I’m going to apply to Uchicago too. The one thing that I’m concerned about is your ACT scores which are below the 25th percentile for UChicago. My SAT scores are too at 2060 (cr: 700, w: 690, m: 690).

Any awards? AP classes? What did you do during summers?

Chandler and Erin, you do need to work on bringing up your test scores if you are hoping for U of Chicago. The competition has gotten awfully stiff. Offhand I know of three kids here in our hometown with 3.9-4.0 GPAs (IB or AP), good recommendations, and test scores in the 2200 range who did not even get waitlisted there this year.
