Hey everyone, so here's the deal, I would just like some insight on how I should be realistically thinking in regards to college admissions!

I currently live in NJ and am going to be graduating from a top high school (even thought that probably doesn't matter)

in 2013 but that same summer, aka the summer before my freshmen year of college, my family is moving to California, so therefore, I am going to be applying for colleges there. Unfortunately, I'm aware that I will need to pay oos tuition and will have my application reviewed as an oos applicant even though I will be permanently living in state (I know it takes a year to establish residency). My GPA from 9-11 is very low and is currently a 2.7. I know everyone probably tries to come up with an excuse for their mistakes but It is that low for legitimate reasons, as I was officially diagnosed with ADHD the fall of my Junior year (current grade) after struggling through school for as long as I can remember. Once I entered high school, my grades dropped immensely since the course load from middle school to high school was a big change. Freshmen year I failed 2 classes, and managed to just make it by in the rest. No matter how hard I tried, my grades kept dropping and into my sophomore year, my teachers began to notice my struggles in the classroom and started to intervene. That year I did not fail any classes but was still mainly C's, a few D's and occasional b's in electives. My school was well aware of my situation and advised that I get help outside of the school, and I was finally diagnosed (after many MANY awful years of school lol) I am now on medication and have since learned so many things about myself through finding new work ethics that work well for me. My junior year, not to brag lol, I've amazed myself and have had mostly A's with occasional B's. I took Honors French 4 and Honors Psychology. The year isn't over yet but these are my grades for my last quarter as of now: Modern Drama- A
CWS 2 (our school's world history)- A
Algebra 2- A+ (SO shocking since i had to retake algebra 1, I like math now!)
Honors French 5- B+

I'm hoping my GPA will be a 3.0 by the end of the year (not recalculated to UC gpa)
I am taking SAT's for the second time tomorrow and am expecting to get around an 1800 this time around. I am taking the ACT's for the first time and the SAT's a third in June. I'm taking the SAT subject tests (English, Math 2, French) in the fall.

My course load for senior year is:
AP French
Multicultural Studies
AP Psych
Algebra 3
Statistics and Probability
Honors Biochemistry
Contemporary Lit
Anatomy and Physiology

Oh p.s I have had a job since my freshmen year, working an average of 20-25 hours a week to help support my family financially

I'm part of a mentoring program called Big Brothers Big Sister and I am the Big Sis to a 9 year old girl. I meet with her once a week and have been for the past year and will continue too next year. I also volunteer for a program called Kids Vote which is held during my towns elections. I will do that for the second time in June. I sing too, and volunteer to sing at retirement homes in my county, and I have also preformed at charity events. I did drama club freshmen year but had to stop because of work.

I pretty much just want some realistic input so I know not to get my hopes up too much for this school if its a shot in the dark. Also any other schools in California that anyone suggests? Particularly on the coast, central or southern California

Also, will I be viewed as an OOS applicant with the GPA requirements even though my family is permanently moving there, it just so happens it's the summer right before I go to college.
