GPA: 3.11/4, UW (Thankfully, I have had an upward trend. Freshman year was horrible for me, but I've recovered).
Waiting for ACT scores.
SAT: CR 640, M 630, W 660
State Residency: NJ, go to a very competitive school that sends a handful to ivies and MIT most years.
Extracarriculars: rowed for three years, won a few medals here and there, yeah yeah whatever. I attended a forensic science camp before junior year, in a rigorous summer program for a week, big deal. I've made honor roll for two years, and won an academic/personal award at my school for overcoming adversity. It was a blend of both, so I put in in on my common app as an academic award and explained. I've volunteered for about 30-35 hours so far, and recently received a more permanent position at the Cathedral Kitchen I work at.
Subjective: Common App- Probably between 8 and 9 out of 10, based on comments I've received. UDel supplements weren't as good, as the first one was pretty bland. The second one may have been a 8-9 again, and the third a little lower.
I got a recommendation from a teacher who nominated me for the award I won, plus a second teacher who seemed to like me. I read my guidance counselor's and supplemental recommender's letters, and the first was very good, the second great (I did waive my right, btw).
