Major/Rec: I’d like to major in Linguistics or Spanish. Languages are a major part of my application and I want to write my essays about how learning languages is a very big part of my life and the connection I have to them. My rec letter will be written by my Spanish teacher, who had me freshmen and junior year. She hasn’t finished it yet but it should be good, especially because I’m hoping she’ll talk about my growth and passion.
I did just receive mail from Michigan saying that I would recieve the HAIL Scholarship paying for all of my tuition over four years if admitted. I really can’t find a lot of information about the scholarship, though, so I don’t know if they just send it because I’m an in-state low income student (since I don’t know if they have my GPA/test scores). I’ve shown a lot of demonstrated interest - campus tours and two program visits at the school. Michigan is my dream school. A lot of students from my high school apply, though, so I’m worried that will bring down my chances because my GPA isn’t great. I’m definitely applying EA, though.
Please chance me for Michigan! Thank you!
