chance me (updated)

3.48 UC gpa
1780 SAT Reasoning
SAT II's:
U.S. History: 670
Math II: 570

4 years baseball (3 varsity)
Around 100 hours of community service (80 or so for the American Cancer Foundation)
no clubs or any other EC's
Hispanic

You're about the middle.

Your SAT is around the middle 1800, and your GPA is too, being around 3.5. You'll usually find people who range in these numbers, like I personally had around a 3.5 and a 2000 SAT, and another guy got in with a 3.0 and a 2200 SAT. Likewise, someone with a 4.0 and a 1500 can get in, so you average out the two numbers, you get 3.5 and 1850.

You'll probably get in. Don't worry about not having enough ECs, I had about as many years in sports as you did and a couple clubs, none president, so don't sweat it.

I mean, I won't "guarantee" it, but like I said, you're the middle of who got accepted so, don't feel you need to freak out. You could still try to raise your SAT a little, if you really feel the need to. Also, don't slack off senior year because it's senior year, they'll honestly reject you if you get a ton of D's/F's (they'll do this after they accept you because you send up a real transcript later on).

Its tough to say. Your just a little below the average. That shouldn't be much of a problem except for that each year it gets more and more competitive. They told us at summer orientation this year that we (class of 2012) are the smartest class they've ever had, and that they had to decline admission to those who would usually have gotten in hands down. A lot more freshman accepted admission than were expected to and housing got a little cramped. I'm not sure if it will be this bad next year, but for the most part I think you have a "middle of the road" change to get in. Your records aren't that spectacular, but their not that bad either. You're also a minority being Hispanic. All colleges like that. Just hang in there. If you don't get in, don't get discouraged. You can transfer from a community college and save money (even though you may not like the way that sounds) or you may be accepted to other UC schools and find that you love it there.

What Are My Chances ? - Campuscompare

I dont know how accurate it is, but its worth a shot.

actually aznpride is wrong, colleges do take that into consideration. if you can make it clear in your personal statement that you underwent some sort of personal transition and your grades have been improving steadily because of it, they will definitely take that into consideration, and see that you have the ability to work hard and improve.

How about me?Am I in the same boat???
