Hello CC, I was sort of wondering what my chances are of getting into the USNA and the USMA. I know nobody can give me a completely accurate answer, but I’d like to hear what others think about my chances. Anyone’s input is welcome!
Academics:
-ACT superscored: 35 English, 35 Math, 31 Reading, 31 Science, 33 writing, 11/12 on essay(I retook the ACT last Saturday and I have a good feeling about my Science and Reading scores)
-GPA: 3.87 unweighted 4.33 weighted
Class rank: About the top 17% mark(I go to a really competitive school, which sort of explains why my rank is so low with a 3.87/4.33.)
-6 AP classes by graduation including AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Physics and AP English 11+12
-On the PSAT I scored 4 points above what the cutoff for NMSF in my state was last, so I will likely become a NMSF.
Extracurricular Activities:
-Varsity Football since sophomore year
-I have played in a recreational basketball league since freshman year. I was also a captain all 3 years
-Boys State attendee(I was also elected to a position)
-JROTC Officer
-I received a national award in JROTC for exemplary leadership demonstrated
-About 100 hours of community service
-NHS member
Other:
I’m not an underrepresented minority, I’m male, I don’t have any family members that have attended any of the service academies. I’m in good physical condition.
