You can really shoot higher (like Ivies and other top-10 schools).

I’m not really familiar with some of those schools, but I’ve visited WashU and you can definitely get in! You could even apply to some Ivies if you really wanted to.

When I look at your “application”, I only really see one weakness, which is your GPA (and by extension, your class rank). It is frankly low for most of the colleges that you are applying. It will hurt you for some colleges, but for others, it won’t.

bump. I applied ED to WUSTL. Visited and stayed overnight. Attended classes. Met with Biology professor. A close family friend (had lunch with him in St. Louis) that is currently at the WUSTL med school and is an alumni and is close friends with an admissions counselor “put a word in” for me (whatever that means…probably won’t change anything). Sent a thank you letter with a picture of me and my WUSTL student host…hopefully all this stuff helps.

Congrats on all of your achievements! Yes, your unweighted GPA is low but I think your weighted GPA makes up for that. And your test scores are amazing! I would say you have a great shot at a lot of these schools.

I don’t know if this is the case for some of your other schools, but for WashU, definitely try to show your interest in the school. One of the classic cases is overqualified students getting rejected from WashU because they failed to display interest and so WashU, protecting its yield from people who thought of it as a safety, would deny them. Since there is no supplement for WashU, definitely try to reach out to them via email, make sure your on their mailing list, go to info sessions, and just do anything to display your interest because they do track it!

Besides that, best of luck to you! And thank you for chancing me!
