ive met tons of people who go to wharton and they are all either white rich kids whose parents went to penn and donated a lot of money (some of the parents got married in the penn club!) or geniuses who have start ups (and i know many with start ups who got rejected)… if college admissions were a meritocracy schools would be fighting over where you would attend but sadly unless you donate you probably won’t get in
it seems like penn likes humanities guys these days… you probably should have a rec from a humanities teacher even tho you want wharton to show that you are well rounded unlike many other applicants and also it wouldn’t to hurt to have a 5 on the ap english exam
@jbrad2868 I do, my teacher said that she wrote the best letter possible.
You have a competitive application, and I would not listen too closely to what the previous respondent said.
I don’t think Jbrad2868 has it right. You have good chances, just remember others have similar stats to yours so make sure your essay separates you from the pack of other candidates. Lastly don’t put all your eggs in one basket. There are other equally good business schools such as Harvard and Stanford to name a few that you should also be applying to as well.
