School List:
UCLA/SD/Irvine (Pretty Sure AP Tests Scores Don’t Matter)
UDub
Babson College
Boston College
Bentley University
NYU LSP Program in London (I Applied ED II here!)
Boston University
USC
UIUC
University of Toronto, University of British Colombia, McGill (Pretty Sure AP Tests Scores Don’t Matter)
UW GPA: 3.78 Taken (12 AP Classes/Community College Classes)
ACT Score: 33
11 on the writing score (AP English Language and Composition realllllyy helped)
AP Scores (Here is where it gets kinda murky):
AP World History- 2
AP English Language and Composition- 3
AP Computer Science- 5
AP Environmental Science- 4
AP European History- 3 (Most of my class failed the AP Test B/C the teacher didn’t really teach)
AP Comparative Government/Pol- 4 Self-Studyed for like 1 week.
(Of course I have not taken AP tests for senior year but I am taking 4, I already sent in my 1st semester transcript to colleges, I got All As)
SAT Subject Tests:
800 Math 2(Thank god!)
760 World History
740 US History
ECS:
They are pretty strong, most people on CC say they are an 8.5/10
Essays:
My essays are really good, mainly because of my AP Comp and Lang teacher, she was amazing, sadly she didn’t teach much MC so I didn’t learn that part of the AP test that well.
Letters of Rec:
The one from my AP English Lang and Comp is probably perfect, I had her for all 4 years and we are super close.
AP Computer Science teacher wrote me an amazing letter, he has an invite only honors class called Advanced Computer Science which basically teaches how to code like Google/Apple employees.
GC letter is personalized which is all I can ask for, most GCs at my school just write template letters.
Ethnicity: (I am mixed 75 percent Indian, 25 percent White)
Income 200K Plus
Hooks: I am a first gen college student, but my income bracket probably cancels that out lol.
Post below if you want anything more.
Aside from the AP’s, you look like you have a fair shot at all of those schools (I know someone who got into BC with stats much worse than yours). As for the AP’s, I think you don’t have to send them in if you don’t want to, and I don’t think they have as big as an impact on acceptances (more of just seeing if you get credit for a course).
If you wouldn’t mind taking a look at one of my older posts I’d be much indebted. Thank you! http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1923260-junior-looking-for-advice.html#latest
@hope469 I don’t think my scores were so bad I no longer have a chance at any schools. I am pretty sure they are not even used that much for most colleges.
Yeah just don’t send APs.
UCLA/SD/Irvine - Around a 25% chance at UCLA, 60% at UCSD, 65% at Irvine
UDub - Accepted
Babson College - Accepted
Boston College - I’d guess denied/deferred, but possible acceptance.
Bentley University - Accepted
NYU LSP Program in London (I Applied ED II here!) - maybe a 40% chance?
Boston University - Accepted
USC - maybe 35% chance here?
UIUC - around 65% chance
University of Toronto, University of British Colombia, McGill - Don’t even really understand how these work.
Chance me back?

@Plumbus Thanks, do you know about NYU’s LSP Program in london? Basically if you apply to NYU LSP the admit rate is roughly 40% ish but if you say you are willing to study aboard your first year it goes up to 50%ish.
@Sterny16 Nope, not very familiar with it. If it has an admit rate that high, and with an ED, I’d guess your chances would be more like 65-70%, if not higher.
@Plumbus Yeah most people only about about Stern and CAS hehe. I really liked NYU LSP program because its basically like a liberal arts school (20-25 people per class) and they allow you to study wherever you want, and by the time you’re a junior you can switch into any NYU school if you have like a 2.0 or something like that lol.
Sadly I got Deferred from Cal Poly SLO CS program ED I because of its ridiculous 9% acceptance rate.
What really sucks though is that Cal Poly takes like every single kid who apply for environmental science.
Hopefully I get into LSP ED.
When do ED results come out anyway?
Also update my UW GPA is a 3.81
