any replies are good!
I’m looking at maybe an English or Economics major

Hi Lipinggao~
It may be a tough call, due to the multiple schools, and countries of attendance. The bench marks typically used in the US…SAT scores not there yet…however your scores overseas would suggest otherwise. Lots of ECs, but not focused and limited leadership positions. The constraints of moving to the different countries may be a significant hook, however.
G’Luck

Hi APOL, yeah I’m retaking SATs this October, never took any prep or any study but got 1380 CR+M if it counts for anything, um ECs, the major leaderships are editor in chief senior year maybe, founder and president of the website/online society i created, Asian Club founder and pres at my school, and Study Dept. Rep at Chinese school. I gotta boost leadership.
Thanks a million for the advice! Any more advice I’m also taking

Your ec’s aren’t focused, however that makes sense since you moved around a lot during high school (same things happened to me, lived in two different states during frosh year). Other than that your resume looks good, but it’s difficult to tell your chances since you didn’t give any schools as to where you would like to go.

Well um, Northwestern is one, then UPenn CAS, NYU CAS, UVA, Emory Business school, WUSTL CAS and Carnegie M. Oh and Toronto and McGill.

Just as a general comment, it would be easier to read over your ECs if you organized your list by each EC rather than each year of high school.

Example:
French Club – 4 years, Secretary (10), President (12)

That way, it’s easier to see your commitment to each activity and everything is organized more neatly.

That said, maybe it’s because of the lengthy mini-list under each year of high school, but it seems as if your ECs, while numerous, are scattered and not very cohesive. Will you be listing all of those on your college apps?
Also, what’s your overall SAT score, rather than just CR and M? That would help.

Um my overall SAT score is 1980, never taken any prep for it. Am taking prep this summer and plans on doing a 2150+ this October.
Thanks for the advice, I’ll edit it
