Chance me? (:

I applied Early Action to JMU. (: I am a white, instate girl.

SATs:
Reading: 800
Math: 770

GPA:
3.44 (I know D:)
But! I got a 4.2 first quarter and my councilor sent an early report.
And I have taken 7 APs (including physics and chemistry) and all other classes honors.

Volunteer work:
I volunteer 60 hrs/wk during the summer as a swim coach. I have coached four 12 year old basketball teams throughout highschool. I work as a lifeguard and a swim coach. I volunteered for buddy ball (best buddy baseball). I have volunteered as a calculus and AP chemistry tutor.

Awards:
I was given the Spirit Award (for character and volunteerism). I also got the Most Improved Track Event as a freshman. I am part of NHS, NAHS, and NMHS.

Activities:
I have been on varsity track for four years, and captain for two. I was captain of our powderpuff team, which I participated in my junior and senior year. I played two years of JV basketball, and two years of house league basketball after that. I have participated on my local swim team for four years in highschool but also since I was nine. I have played on a club league soccer team. I also am president and founder of the People for People club, a club that promotes activicy and volunteerism.

I get my application back in fifteen days and I feel like I'm going to puke. ):

Anyways thanks. :)

Oh yeah, extra info:
I am an AP scholar with honor

& I think my essay was pretty good; it was about how my brain works differently (I have executive dysfunction); and the teacher who wrote my rec I had for honors chem, AP chem and I TA for now (and I babysit her twins), so I think it was a pretty good one. :)

You are in without a doubt

I think you have a good chance. However, if you mean you got a 4.2 the first quarter of senior year, jmu doesnt look at that i dont think. However, i guess it cant hurt! 800 on reading? Wow! I Applied early action too, chance me back! :)

Also is that your weighted gpa?
