Chance Me!

Hey, I am a senior in high school. I want to know what my chances of getting in to University of Oregon (as well as University of Colorado Boulder and UC Santa Cruz) are...I am an out of state student located in california.
I didn't do that well freshmen year, but did better 10-11th grade.
I've played on the high school golf team all 4 years as well, and I will be in the CSF club senior year. My sat score is not that good, but I'm going to retake it again...Current score is ~1580. I don't currently have any community service hours..., but I plan on doing some soon.
Academic GPA: Weighted: 3.32 Unweighted:3.32
Total GPA: Weighted: 3.42 Unweighted: 3.42
10-12 GPA: Weighted 3.52 Unweighted: 3.52

PS: Hopefully I will be visiting the campus around november, does anyone who goes there or went there have any info on what you liked/disliked about the school...
Also, do you think I have a chance of getting into University of Colorado: Boulder and UC Santa Cruz with my current stats?

Thanks for your help

Write a good essay and get some good recommendations and you’ll likely be accepted. You aren’t required to get teacher recommendations, but doing so would show that you’re interested in the school and would boost admission chances. There’s also a chance that you’ll be waitlisted (as your GPA/SAT are around average). The SAT 25-75 percentile score is from about 1,485 to about 1,840, so you’re on the lower end there.
You’re GPA is in good standards. 23% of all of the students accepted to UofO had a GPA between 3.25 and 3.49, so you’re probably safe there. If you happen to be waitlisted, don’t worry, UO accepts the vast majority of waitlistees.

Sorry, I can’t say anything for University of Colorado or Santa Cruz. All I know is that UofO’s acceptance rate is around 85%, Santa Cruz is around 81%, and Boulder is around 78%. Your chances of getting in those schools are about the same as UofO.

If it helps, I got into both Oregon (where I go to school) and UC Santa Cruz with a lower GPA, but higher SAT score and no AP/Honors classes.

^^^thanks for the responses.
Im taking the SAT on october 1st and hopefully will raise my current score…

@ckr4282-just curious, what was your sat score?

I just received my sat scores back from October and I got a 1680. I’m taking it again in November and am aiming at a 1750-1850.
