same :(

we both need more ECs (i dont have much ECs either).

Don’t know. You look like a strong applicant, but as anyone will tell you, admission to top 20 schools is pretty much a toss up. Decisions will be out in a few weeks thankfully. Good luck.

Hmmm I posted my chance for lots of schools. People seem to have more hope me than I do in myself lol. Crappy EC’s and gpa. Been rejected from ED Cornell and RD WashU so I’m not too hopeful :/

No!! you have a great chance to get into a very good college . Just try to volunteer for something, try to organize some clubs and stuff. Are you in high school or are you in gap year? if in Gap year, try to get your SAT math higher while volunteering e.g. for the red cross or amnesty or something. Its really important; so you gain some experience, knowledge and social skills. It gives you more ideas and thinking. It gives you not only EC record, but a feeling of doing something good, something right.

I’m a 2012 RD applicant

ohhh so you’ve applied already! (sorry I don’t live in the US, I don’t really know these timetables and stuff ), man I really hope you get in!

Telandis, you have a far better shot than I do. Speaking of WashU, I also got rejected, haha. It’s funny how things work out. Johns Hopkins was my dream school for three years but after an interview with a Rice alumni, I fixed my view on Rice and ended up applying ED there instead. I got rejected (25% of applicants who apply to Rice ED get accepted compared to the 44% of applicants that get accepted to JHU ED). Applying to ED to Rice didn’t abet me that well (the RD acceptance rate is 18%, compared to 25% ED, haha). I’ll probably end up at a state school, but I have a grasp of hope. If I have hope, you should too! Best of luck! Sorry if my writing is inconsistent, lol. Nonetheless, I wish you the best.
