Hello everyone, and thanks for reading this.

I wanted to start out by saying that I have helped out my parents at their place of work (I have no say in the matter) since about 7th grade, and I spend roughly 34 hours a week working there (during the school year, and more during the summer. I don't spend all the time working, but I do need to be on call). I work right after school on weekdays, so pretty much all ECs are a no-go for me. I've never had any.

Here are the academics. I do not have an up-to-date High School transcript, but I do have a reasonably good idea of how I'm doing. I'll ask the counselors tomorrow and update this thread.

High School: Town of ~10,000, High School has ~1,000, not very competitive
Rank: Around the top 10% of my grade.
GPA: ~3.8 (weighed)
Notable Classes I've taken:
CIS English Literature A & B (11th grade): Average grade of both parts is a B.
CIS English Composition A & B (12th grade): I'm currently taking this.
AP US History (11th grade): 4 on the exam
AP Statistics (11th grade): 4
I will also take AP Calculus AB and PAA Biology later this year.
Ethnicity: 100% Chinese, parents are first generation immigrants and have no college education.

PAA stands for Partnership in Academic Agreement, and its a fancy term for a high school class linked to some university in Minnesota. If I pass the class I get credit at the University.

CIS stands for College In Schools, and it's a University of Minnesota program to offer introductory university classes to high school students. So right now I have taken one class at the University of Minnesota, English Literature, and I have a B in it, but I have not been admitted to the university.

ACT: 34 composite (taken once)
Math: 30
Reading:33
Science:36
English: 35
Writing: 7

I do not plan to take the SAT.

Thanks for reading this brick wall.

Colleges I'm interested in:

University of Minnesota- Twin Cities and Duluth Campus
University of Chicago
