Chance me?

Basically, everything on this forum gets me down. I am not exceptionally strong in extracurriculars. I do band (I'm a section leader for the flutes and play alto saxophone in Jazz 2 [non-audition]) and I tutor as a volunteer.

I am pretty good academically (I thought) because I take advanced classes (at another campus because my home high school doesn't offer them) and get A's and B's.

I got a 34 on my ACT with an 8 on writing. I have 5's on AP Calc AB+BC, Lang, Psychology; 4's on AP Chem+Physics B; 3 on APUSH. I'm taking US Gov, macroecon, bio, stat, and lit next year, hopefully getting 4's and 5's again.

I plan on applying to Oberlin College, Macalester, Grinnell, and Yale with Iowa State University as my back-up. I would appreciate it if you guys would chance me, even though I'm not up to the par of some of these CC-ers.

don’t get too down, really! EC’s are pretty underwhelming, but you have a freaking awesome ACT score! You’ll get a ton of merit aid from Iowa State. Yale will be the only one that will be incredibly hard to get into, with that school, theyre looking for students who are amazing in everything (which is why they have such a tiny acceptance rate). Don’t get down, remember, your ACT is in like the 95th percentile. That’s really great!!! Grinnell, Oberlin, and Macalester, you’ll need to write a stellar essay, so you may want to get started on that right now!
