If you need to find out more just ask!
Also PLEASE be frank, I do not want to bother applying to schools where I have no chance getting accepted.

If you would like, you can suggest a college that would fit me nicely (it is hard to find colleges that fit my style when my parents are going crazy about sending their 1st child to college).

University of Tennessee Knoxville: safety

Georgetown: low reach
UPenn: reach

WashU in St.Louis: reach
Georgia Tech: match
UC Berkeley: high match
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign: match

What is your intended major and where is your home state?

Intended: Civil/Mechanical Engineering
Home State: Tennessee
However, I have lived in CA for 8 years and MO for 5 years and TN will be 5 years.

Your SAT2 Math2 is weak for engineering. Your GPA is also not impressive for top engineering schools. You should forget about your SAT score. Your ACT is okay but you do need other things in your credential to bring you into any top schools. Also, most schools do require the writing in ACT and some even want it to be in the same sitting, so you would have to retake it and hopefully score the same or better.

I honestly don’t think your list is too bad, and I think you have fairly decent shots at these schools. You school profile will note that your grading system is whack (at least to me–when the hell is a 92 a B? I can imagine the outrage if we changed to that system tomorrow, so many people ride on A-s to get into high-end schools). Your GPA is decently good.

Work up those SATs (I assumed you’d up them SATs or ACTs for the sake of this chance, betting that you could).

Good luck with it all!
In the meanwhile, chance back?
