?? since when do Calif publics not look at soph grades? I think they mostly look at soph&junior year grades.

O SORRY I MEANT FRESHMEN AND SENIOR THANK YOU

There’s a chance forum for what you want, OP, but you’re hardly a loser or a pretty big failure. These are good grades and you’re going to go to a good school.

If you’re not happy with how you did in high school then you need to figure out what to do differently in college–and then do it.

that actually made my day! thank you! (:

OP have you done any standardized testing (ACT or SAT) before? You say you are taking ACT in Oct. Some students do better on one test than the other, so make sure you prepare some for each test and go into the test ready for testing (be on time, have a good night’s sleep, bring all the things you are required to bring…). Look at the schools desired to see how late the scores they will accept, to see if you have time for 2nd test on either.

I agree with @jkeil911 - either you are comparing yourself to a few students that you see have ‘effortless intelligence’ or maybe have some self esteem issues. You are young and have your whole future ahead of you. Make the best of where you are planted. The beauty of being in the US are there are so many opportunities.
