Doomed to fail?

Hey guys ):

So I'm a senior in high school from California and I really, really want to go to UC Irvine under a Psych major but I don't think I can get it. I tried really hard but my GPA came out to be 3.18 and my SAT score is 1720.

I'm took lots of honor classes like Euro AP, Math Studies, Eng Lang AP but I don't think it helps...I partake in a lot of extracurricular actives such as tennis (4 years), VP for club (2), and lots of volunteer service but do I even have a chance to get accepted? Maybe even a little?

I'm also planning to take the ACT in December and hope to have a killer personal statement but would they even consider me with my low GPA?

My family wants me to apply to: UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UC Riverside, Cal Poly Pomona, and Cal State Fullerton.

Thank you!!!

Sincerely

Desperate, verge-of-blowing-up, Sally

So how does community college sound?

jk. Does your gpa show consistent improvement? Are there extenuating circumstances? How are your current senior grades? Retake your tests, focus on your grades, and prepare excellent essays. What more can you do?

Is that 3.18 caused by a poor freshman year? If so, come back here once you removed freshman year…
