Hi, I'm currently a senior and I'm applying to UF for priority admissions (before Nov. 1), and I'm incredibly nervous and wondering if I'll be able to get in.

Here are my stats:

SAT I (breakdown): (with writing) 1900 - 660 M 620 CR 620 W
ACT: N/A
SAT II: N/A
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.7
Weighted: 4.1

Essays: Will make sure that they're spot on--having multiple AP Lit/Lang teachers review them within the next couple of weeks before I submit!

Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): Top 15% Class of 468 (competitive public high-school)

Male/Caucasian

Hooks: Adopted, Parents have been divorced for twelve years now, and my mom and I have lived completely on our own separate from him.

Income Bracket: $40-50k, with child support... W/o, it's about $15k

Intended Major: Computer Science (Incredibly interested in this field :p)

My grandfather went to UF, if that helps at all.

AP/Honors Classes: 18 in total-- 9 AP, 9 Honors (School I went to for ninth and tenth grade restricted the number of AP courses we took, so that's why there are so many honors courses...also why I'm not in Calc BC and have not taken any AP Sciences...but that's besides the point!)

AP (place score in parenthesis): Nine in total: AP Human Geography (4), AP World History (3), AP Psychology (5), AP U.S. History (4), AP English Language and Composition (3), AP Calculus AB (currently taking), AP Literature and Composition (currently taking), AP Macroeconomics (currently taking), AP Gov/Pol (currently taking)

IB (place score in parenthesis): N/A

Awards: AP Scholar with Distinction, District-level award in FJCL Competition (Latin), Principal's Honor Roll/Honor Roll multiple times, made All-County Band two years in a row (hopefully three), Undergraduate Award (having a GPA above 4.0), Department Award in Music (excelling in the fine arts art my school), 4 Superior Medals at district/state level Solo and Ensemble (all made on B Flat Clarinet), MVP in Concert Band, MVP in Jazz Band (tenor saxophone), inducted in NJHS (National Junior Honor Society), inducted in NHS (National Honor Society-- managed to turn my grades around from freshman year to be invited senior year), auditioned and made it into my county's youth orchestra (made one of the three available seats for the county).

Volunteer Hours -- Over 150 (Not included are events that I did not receive hours for, but just did it because it felt right--helping to arrange a "homecoming dance" for autistic children at a local church, and things like that).

I'm a Florida resident, and I qualify for the highest level of the Bright Future's scholarship.
