Hello everyone! Cornell is my #1, and yes i know this school is a reach for anyone but i have worked very hard, and im hoping it will pay off. As for my situation, i have moved three times (im a senior now, but relocated after freshman, sophomore, and junior year) so bear with me as i try and explain my situation.

GPA- UW 3.82
Rigor- all of my classes have been AP or IB, with the exception of a career pathway and the required PE class my state requires to receive a HS diploma. So out of 31 classes, 28 have been academic, with the bulk being IB and AP, the only other academic elective ive taken that was not AP/IB is anatomy (106). Now here comes the confusing part, My current school does not offer Pre IB classes to freshman and sophomores, however i have taken them. The school has decided to give me the "benefit of the doubt" and have given them the same weighting as an AP class (this is what shows up on my official transcript) because all of my schools have scored them differently, they felt this was fair.
SAT- Never taken
ACT-32 composite score (retaking)
SATII- US History- 750 (retaking)
SATII- World History- 750 (retaking)
EC- since ive moved three times, my leadership positions havent been what they should be, but ive done the best with what i had.

School applying to- Arts and Sciences

HOSA-Officer, two years. State competition finalist, both years.
Tutoring club-3 years
Self taught CAD/CAM (described in app that this is something i had an earnest desire to do outside of the classroom b/c i have a metalworking hobby)
Entrepreneur/Designer- self designed consumer product that initially began as an idea/hobby and turned into a successful idea. I completely designed everything myself and collaborated with an overseas manufacturer to work out some minor issues and have successfully designed (and sold) a retail product of my creation. I managed to do this completely out of my bedroom.

Hooks- First college student ever from both sides of my family. Not sure whether or not to put this in EC's or as a hook, but i think it would be better suited here: In my sophomore year, i befriended a senior who, to say the least, was undergoing some very bad family problems and was failing the two classes that he needed to graduate HS and couldnt afford a tutor, so i stayed after school with him 1-2 hours a day (though i had to spend extensive time researching/learning these classes since i was only a sophomore to be able to help him) consistently for the semester and he not only passed those classes, but he obtained B's. From here on out, it gets pretty sad, over the course of my highschool career, almost all of my immediate family has passed away in a span of just 3 years. I first lost my grandfather, followed by my aunt, grandfather, grandmother, great grandmother, all to cancer. Also, I was born with a genetic disease (severe hemophilia) and was discovered this when i was 1 because of a blood clot on my spinal cord, based on the location and severity of the blood clot, the surgery would save my life, but there was a strong chance that i would be mentally incompetent, needless to say this wasn't the case and i feel like ive made the best with the cards ive been dealt.

Seems like a lot, i know, but i feel like my app wouldnt be complete without it. Im not sure how much of "my story" schools will take into account, but i feel like all of these events have molded me into the person i am today.
