Also wanted to know if running would help me get into any of these schools.

Great mile time. I will pretty much guarantee you will get in to northwestern and Georgia Tech. Likely at Emory as well. I used a chart given to me by someone I would consider “an expert” in this field and it seems to indicate you will get in both those places. You dont need me to tell you the Ivies are a crapshoot so I won’t speak for them. You seem to have a great chance though.

I can only speak to Northwestern. My D had similar academics and did nit get in (despite with parents being alums). The track stats make it a whole other story.

@MCFC15 would I get into those only with the track, or with my academics alone? Also I have only taken one SAT subject test- math 2 (800)

Would you recommend taking another subject test or retake the SAT?

Your academics alone will suffice (and your extracurriculars) for those colleges I specifically mentioned up there. I can’t speak for track but I can say this. On that chart I was talking about, G-Tech and NW fall in the “Somewhat Selective” bracket with:
Recommended Acceptance scores at 28-31/1250-1400
GPA of about 3.9(weighted) and
Leadership, honors, and talent. (one of which has been recognized at the state or district level)
Similar Schools are: SMU, Purdue, Pepperdine, Boston College.

If you intend on applying to any of the Ivies you names you must take another subject test, and it probably needs to be a non-science/non-math one. You are the kind of student that I feel like gets into ivies. Your scores are great, but not perfect. But you clearly have an active life outside of school which is way more important then grades (assuming they are good) for top schools.

*This chart I keep referencing is one given to me by a former dean of admissions.

Ah great to hear thanks a lot! I have also been looking into some of the Co-Op programs such as Drexel and Northeastern so I’m trying to figure out whats the best path for me to take.

What is your intended major and where is your home state? Answers to these questions will affect your chance for at least half of the schools on the list.

Engineering/Business and Washington

For UMich and UIUC engineering, your GPA is near admission average while your ACT is right below admission average (for UIUC, it varies with major). Both would be low reach to reach to you. UMich CoE has below 25% admission rate last year (OOS would be below 20%) but they admit near half from OOS. UIUC engineering has near 50% admission rate but much less from OOS.
For Ross (business at UMich), it would be a reach as the admission rate is around 15% or less.
