Intended major? Your GPA and ACT scores look competitive. Really difficult to chance SLO but you need to calculate your MCA score. Based on intended major and MCA score, SLO will accept or deny applicants. For Engineering, an MCA score of 4700+ should be pretty competitive.

I applied for aerospace engineering with a general engineering alternative. I would be around 4900 for my MCA.
Would it look bad if I sent my old ACT score of 27?
Just curious how would you get a 4900 on the MCA? Did you get any of the bonuses?
Yeah a lot. I took 5 years of math. I work a lot. Took a lot of high classes because I’m taking college classes in high school
If you don’t have any non-academic bonuses (Cali vet, partner school, service area, etc.) I can’t see any way to get to 4900 with your GPA and test scores. Did you actually calculate it?
Yes

^ Yes, a great value.

@Gumbymom what does competitive mean? Based on context, it means a MCA score of 4700+ is great. Am i correct?
@ikim16: It means that your Stats are at or above the averages for the School of Engineering which makes you a competitive applicant and having an MCA score of 4700+ helps. Much will depend upon the MCA scores of this years applicants since there are no published cutoffs. The MCA score threshold is conjecture based on previous years posts and information.
