wow the average GPA is so high
Also the UC GPA messed me up because I took XL classes at my school that were harder but did not count for the extra point in the UC GPA.

UC’s are very GPA focused so with your UC GPA being below the 25th percentile (3.92) even with great test scores it will be a reach. Definitely apply since they do put 50% weight on your academics and 50% weight on your EC’s and essays.
For 2015, the Freshman admit rate with UC GPA’s in the 3.40-3.79 range was 13%

Good Luck.
thanks, what I’m thinking is that most of the kids applying with a 3.4-3.79 also had low test scores, whereas I have high test scores so that could help me. i definitely will mention my ADHD and attribute my low GPA to me learning how to mange my condition. or does that sound like a bad idea?
I think that addressing our ADHD is fine as long as you do not use it as an excuse. Good Luck and unfortunately there is no way of knowing if lower GPA and higher test scores will make a difference.
