From what I have seen on the forums, there are many people with amazing stats. I am not sure how I compare…
I am currently a junior attending a NYC public school.
I intend to go into pharmacy, but I am not 100% sure yet…
SAT: I plan to take it in the spring, and I have been scoring in the high 1300s on practice tests
GPA: I have a weighted 97% average
Courses:
Sophomore year: APWH- 4
Junior year: APUSH, AP ENG LANGUAGE, AP CHEM, AP COMP SCI
Extracurriculars: this is where I feel I am weakest in…
Orchestra since freshman year
A few volunteer clubs
2 honor societies: one I joined sophomore year, another I joined this year
200 service hours from volunteering at a local school
I plan on taking various courses at a local college starting in the spring, specifically classes in the math and sciences
I also will be volunteering/working at a pharmacy the summer before junior year
Along with volunteering at a local hospital
If possible, I will also find a lab research opportunity.
I know there are various other factors- including essays and recommendations-
But with your best estimate, would Buffalo be a reach, match, or safety school for me?
Would schools like Johns Hopkins be too far of a reach for me?
Thank you for your help in advance.
