Additional Info:
I live in a rural Ohio town and attend public school with 220 kids in my grade currently (historically the senior class graduates with about 180 kids, the grade above me who just graduated started the year with 244 and ended with 186 I believe… for approx. class size on the Common App I put 220)
Gender: Male
Race: White and Asian (mixed)
As I said, I’ve taken the most rigorous course possible at my school, my senior year will be: AP Calc, AP Chem, AP English, AP Spanish, Anatomy, and US gov
As for GPA, I don’t know of anyone at my school who has ever graduated with a 4.0 unweighted, my class valedictorian is sitting at about 3.93, which is about the usual GPA of the valedictorian
To compensate for my low ACT writing, I’m enrolling in an online class to help improve my writing (that ACT is from the beginning of junior year, and my writing also improved over the course of my junior year)

Also did tennis and track (both Varsity but tennis was for fun, and I hated track)

If you are planning to apply ED, the chances are good. High match/low reach.

Remember to show demonstrated interest. Visit the campus, set up an interview, and maintain contact with your regional representative.

Hi @TrapNumen , I think you’ve got a shot. But like @Hamurtle said, show demonstrated interest. Good luck.

Other than emailing admissions counselors or visiting the campus, are there any other ways to show my interest in the school?

@TrapNumen , I would attend any local information sessions held in your area, be sure to attend any presentations at your high school if a rep does a presentation there, visit booth at a career fair, and open emails from them! Also do any chats they offer online. Interview as well if possible. Good luck!

@TrapNumen you can usually do an interview during a visit, which is what my son did. You could email the regional rep to arrange an interview as well.

Thank you! How early would you recommend talking to the admission counselor? And for the interview, would I schedule that before or after applying? And can I do that through the Common App?

@TrapNumen talk to the regional representative as soon as possible.

I would suggest having an interview before applying.
