PS: I know my SAT Score is very low, but I’m studying my butt off, and hope to get it to a 1450-1500, which I believe I can.

Sorry if this is long guys, but I’m just curious of my GPA and EC will outweigh the SAT score. Thanks in advance!!!

GPA and EC are extremely strong, but your test scores are faulty for two reasons: below most of those schools thresholds and no SAT subject tests. I would recommend having a strong essay, increasing your SAT and doing SAT subject tests to highlight your strengths. Overall, an outstanding applicant.

Appreciate the warm words! I agree about the sat but forgot to mention I took 3 subject tests with a 720 in Chem 710 in US and a 680 in world ( :frowning: )

Since you stated you plan to retake the SAT several times, SLO will only accept up to the Nov sitting while the UC’s will take up to the Dec sitting.

I see no safety schools on your list so you really need to find 1-2 that you would be willing to attend.

Are you a CA resident?

Do not plan to retake 2-3 times. You should have a thorough practice and assume each take as the last one. Don’t waste your money and time.

Yes I am, and I’ll be taking the November and October sitting so I’ll have 2 chances for slo and 3 for UCs/privates. As for Safeties, I have some, just saw no point in putting them here.

Thanks for the clarification.
UCB is a Reach as a right now due to the competitiveness of the school, your current SAT score and the low admit rate.

SLO is a High Match due to your SAT score. Raise it up above the 1350+ mark and it should be a Match.

Best of luck.

As stated before, the rest of your app looks great, bar your SAT score. Study hard for the October sitting–take tests under timed testing conditions, be ruthless with your errors, and seek help from friends/family. UCB sounds possible with a stronger SAT score (though depending on your school’s circumstances, it may also be a possibility now if you go to school somewhere with few resources) Best of luck!
