I think you should send your certificate of finance with the automatic scholarship on it to UAH as that’s what is most logical. (I can’t get a straight answer so I’m guessing it depends on the person answering.)
Adelphi Honors is the better choice but it’s really too bad you can’t take a gap year. Not only is there a long commute, but you’ll lose on a sense of college community. On the other hand lots of Adelphi students are commuters so commuting will be taken into account and as an honors student you’ll have 24/7 access to the Lounge to hang out with friends or crash after a study group.
I talked with UAH, they don’t take in account automatic schorlarship unless you get that. So, basically, for I-20, you don’t need to show 37K, but in order to be considered for admission , you should( wiyhout any schorl ship included).
Thank you for both of your replies!
@interapp wait, you mean they ask for proof of financial availability for admission? That is so strange!
@paul2752 Yes!
Here is what they replied to me
" If you are on a F1 student visa, the bank letter and affidavit of financial support is required for admission. The dollar amount needed is $37,772"
That is so absurd…you have to prove you have enough fund to attend the school w/o scholarship even though you are sure you are eligible? This didn’t happen to me when I applied to U Alabama-Tuscaloosa.
^ yes, it makes no sense - that’s why I think they mean “including the automatic scholarship”.
No, I specifically asked them about conditions of affidavit and if scholarship is included. You can call and ask them, but they will reply exact same thing.
@MYOS1634 @paul2752
That’s it though - I did and I had two different answers.
Well, I can’t apply there unless they clearly say what they want.
