Extracurriculars
Varsity Math Team- I joined my freshman year and it didn’t take off until my sophomore and junior year I made varsity my junior year, our team went to state but I myself did not go to individuals state. It’s a 2 day a week commitment for about 3 or 4 hours a game.
Varsity Nordic Skiing- Joined my freshman year we have practice days a week in the morning during the offseason and we have 8 practices a week, weekly it’s a 10 to 15 hour a week commitment.
PSEO- A state-funded program that allows high school students to take the classes of their Junior and Senior year at an accredited university so I took my Junior and Senior year classes at the Universty of Minnesota
UMTYMP- UMTYMP is an honors accelerated math course for high schoolers at the University of Minnesota(for those familiar, I only attended the first two years of the college curriculum as I took the final year concurrently through U of M PSEO classes)
SCA- The Student Conservation Association, it is a program that allows you to volunteer at National Parks and Forests doing trail work, with it I have 380 hours of volunteer work
I also work 10-20 hour weeks as a cashier at a local grocery store.
Total volunteer hours= 410 hours
