Hi guys! I’ve wanted to go to UCSC under a Psychology major for a while and I just applied. I was wondering what my chances of getting in are based off of my stats. (in-state)
SAT: 1340
ACT: 29
Weighted GPA: 3.66
I failed 4 semesters of classes in my Freshman due to a medical problem I talk about in my essays. I later made them up with A’s in summer school during my sophomore and junior year.

EC’s: I don’y have any relevant EC’s for my major but I have been dedicated to Karate since kindergarten and I am now a 4th degree black belt and I teach my own classes. I also played competitive soccer from 4th grade till my Freshman year, when I had to stop because of a medical issue and have played cello since 4th grade.

UCSC does not admit by major except for the College of Engineering. Your GPA is below the 25th percentile but your test scores are within range.

Showing that you were to come back from a bad Freshman year will help. I would say a High Match (50/50) chance.
