Will write a good essay and get good recommendations.

Major: BME
Colleges of Interest (Chosen mainly due to merit scholarships; not poor, will have no/little need based (5-7k); 90th percentile income, can fork out some cash but certainly won't be pleasant)

Reach?
U Penn, a "no good merit offer/direct MD" alternative school, that is if I get in.

Slight reach?
WashU

Fit?
Rice
Emory
NUC Chapel?
Case(1st Choice; 8 year MD program)

Safety
BU
Pitts

Very good chances at all those schools, even Upenn. I would reccomend that you check out JHU. It would be a match for you, and they have the best (or one of the best) BME programs. good luck:)

If you feel you're Ivy caliber (and it does look like you are), Duke also has a top notch BME program as well. I agree with above poster, you look really good for JHU, which has the best program in the country.

Thanks for the response, but I have pretty much dropped JHU and Duke for various reasons. (along with dropping the Ivys) Imo, my app will be decent for these schools, but definitely is lackluster when compared to others.

Yes; I do know the undergraduate/graduate BME ranking; I have basically considered most of the top 30 BME schools (if no BME or unranked BME, Chem major)

How are my chances of getting some merit on non-safety schools? And full on safety?
Are there other colleges offering generous merit with no religion/ethnic/racial affiliation in the top 40ish that I am not aware of? (Excluding Vandy and Chicago)

Love your APs, are you National AP Scholar?

No; unfortunately. A bunch of 3/4, a few 5. Terrible exam scores, was very disappointed. Probably honers; a bit shy of distinction.

You're still 4.0 with all those APs, unless you self-studied some of them?

No; all taken.
