<p>I applied Michigan Early Response this year and haven’t gotten a response back yet, and I was wondering if you guys could chance me! I know my stats and such aren’t up to par- especially from the rest of you CC’ers, but if you could give me your honest opinions and let me down gently, that would be great. :)</p>

<p>Gender: Female
Ethnicity: Asian
State: Washington
School: Large Public
SAT: 1930 (took it in June)
GPA: 3.64 UW (Upward trend, got straight A’s my junior year)
Full-IB diploma candidate. </p>

<p>Clubs and Sports:
- 4 years varsity cheerleading (co-captain junior year, captain senior year)
- founder of an environmental club at school
- FBLA (placed 3rd in Business Ethics at districts, public relations)
- National Honor Society
- Key Club (secretary, public relations committee)
- Hospice volunteer
- Choir
- Elementary school tutor volunteer
- local ecology group (helped clean up the city, plant flowers/trees, etc. currently president of the club)
- Ignite Mentorship</p>

<p>I applied to LSA and tried to emphasize on how I want to major in Political Science. I also wrote one of my essays on my struggle on being diagnosed with skin cancer and how it’s allowed me to help others know the dangers of tanning (could this be a hook?)</p>

<p>Many people here are ignorant about the IB diploma candidate part. Me,who has had friends come from International Academy, one of the Best IB schools in the world, have had 64/66 students who’ve applied being accepted. Also, they’re classes are tough. Most of your extra curriculars are meaningless besides the founding of an organization and cheerleading for for years. All A’s junior year is good too. I predict a Low reach admit since you’re out of state (your school’s IB program is far below International Academy-sorry but most likely true) and full diploma candidate means very little since you still have to take exams in May. Your GPA is pretty good though for IB program but not great. </p>
