Schools - (in rough order of selectivity)

Duke
Davidson
Vanderbilt
Grinnell
Sewanee
Rhodes
Clemson
College of Charleston
Rollins College
Lees Mcrae

Certainly you will be accepted at Sewanee and Rhodes, and should be a strong candidate for a significant merit scholarship at both in addition to any financial aid awards. Probably accepted at the most selective schools on your list but less likely to receive significant merit scholarships.

Sandstone - thank you. But, 43 views and only one response? Can someone please chance me?

I’m about to slide off page one again…one more bump?

Well, I would say the duke is a reach, although it is for nearly everyone. Vanderbilt and davidson would be low reaches to high match, and all of the others would be matches to safeties. I think it is fair to say that you’ll get into either Davidson or Vandy, and, quite possibly, both, although I can’t really say for Duke. Best of luck!

Does anyone have some good suggestions for schools that might be generous with merit aid given my stats? I prefer to stay in the Southeast, but am not 100% opposed to going elsewhere. I am aware that privates will likely do better than OOS publics, but I’m not sure what level of aid I can expect. Are there any schools at all that could help me out enough to make it affordable for my parents? Their EFC is in the $2,000 - $3,000 range.
Thanks!

haha - sorry! Make that an A

From page 1 to page 4 in a day, and still only two people legitimately responded. Could someone please chance me or give suggestions on other schools I might look at?

Are you interested in a conservative school or a more liberal leaning school?

Probably more conservative. I’m not exactly the hippie type, but I can get along with anyone. I don’t think I’d rule out a school that was more liberal, but I’m not a candidate for Reed College, if you know what I mean.
