Chance me

School: Junior at International Academy in MI, #1 IB school in US and always top 10 public school

GPA (unweighted): 3.85, our school doesn't weight GPAs and has no class rank. However, I know that only about 5 people are ahead of me out of 50ish in GPA but my school has 3 campuses/1 school so I don't know the GPAs of the other campuses
I have taken all honors or IB classes
I am taking Bio, Chem, History, English, Spanish, and HL math, probably doing Bio and Chem HL and maybe a 4th HL if I can

ACT Score: 35, have not taken SAT
Will take Math 2, Bio, and Chem subject tests in fall

EC's: played flute in school band since 6th grade, played piano for 4 years, on Robotics team for 1 year (our school got 2nd place at worlds), Girl Scouts (have silver and bronze awards, working on Gold), CAS hours required by IB, member of Creative Writing Club since 9th grade (we don't have officers for the club), treasurer of NHS, have done 6 "Enrichments" required by school, and most important: I have a horse and ride 4 days a week and go to 5-7 shows a year and volunteer at the barn a lot

I have not gotten a job yet (I live in MI - bad economy - and I am only 15 so everyone is hiring older people first)

Thank you for your time :)

Your chances are like most who apply to Dartmouth. Your odds are about 1 in 6 or 1 in 7.

At the end on the day, all is dependent on how distinctive your application looks to the Admissions committee. It’s part you and part how you (and your referees) represent you.

You need to understand and communicate “your special sauce”.

^ Agreed with BalletGirl.

BalletGirl - Nice to see you are still here.

^^ Thanks Aviator Penguin. I occasionally lurk; seldom participate. I am just too busy.
