I think my essays are good, they focus a lot on my love for journalism. I did an alumni interview that went really well, and I got an additional rec. from the guy I interned with.

I know my math score is really low and so are my grades in math classes :( but I'm applying Early Decision to Medill School of Journalism so let me know! Thanks :)

I love the fact that you’re an excellent student with an established commitment to, and leadership in, both the track team and the school newspaper, and that you work part time on top of that.
As you already know, though, your SATs are a problem. The math score is very, very low for NU, and the CR score, while clearly strong, is still not “star” stuff, so that a combined 1270/1600 remains weak.
If your essays and recs are compelling, those factors, together with your proven interest in NU by applying ED, might just do it, but you are in very uncertain waters.
Good luck. I hope you get in, and have no doubt how much you’ll love it if you do!

Thanks! Yeah I know the math hurts me a LOT
