Chance my friend ?

My friend is set on applying to Harvard next year and he doesnt really know who to ask about his chances and stuff so i decided to post here. Here's his story:

Hes 15 right now and is going to graduate early. He lost his mother when he was 11 due to cancer, and now he is writing a book on the experience. He is almost finished with and is about to get published into Chapters, Indigo, Coles etc.. He's a great public speaker and he is planning on raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society in a national fundraising campaign throughout grade 11 and 12 and perhaps even through university. I've read his work and I know he's going to take this far and hopefully he will be able to succeed and really go after his dream. Assuming he succeeds, what will his chances be at a school like Harvard.

However, he's concerned about his grades as Harvard is a really competivive school, here are his stats:

9
Math - 80
Eng - 94
Sci - 92
French - 93
Geography - 93
----------------90.4%

10

AP Scores: all 5's (i think he's taking about 12 by the time he graduates)
SAT(took once this year): 2400/2400
SAT II: US History 800 Bio 780 (Taking Math II next year)
Rank: 2nd out of 140 students

EC:
- ranked 3rd at the International Public Speaking Tournament held in England last year
- 400 hours of community service
- president of School Outreach committee
- school newspaper Editor in Chief
- Varsity Squash (Won championships this year, 1st in the Province)
- Lieutenant Colonel in Canada Army Cadets (been in Cadets since he was 10 years old)
- Model UN (United Nations Environmental Program Best Delegate)

Also, he would be what you would consider a "URM"

Thanks guys.

Published author, perfect SAT, and URM status?

Definitely promising. Of course, HYPS is always a gamble, so you never know.

Do you know his overall GPA? Freshman year looks a little weak, but not disqualifying.

He seems like a very strong candidate, but all of us are. Ivy league, Stanford, and MIT are always hard to call. But his GPA seems great, is SAT is really eye catching, and everything else looks good to. I'd tell him to apply to the schools he wants, and just wait on it

Definitely something unique, and thats great for HYPS. I would think he has a higher than average chance for a 2400er
