Chance of getting off of waitlist

Hello,
I am an international. I have recently been wait listed at Grinnell. Grinnell is one of my top schools, if not the top school. I was thus wondering whether it would be possible for an international to make it off of their waitlist. Your opinions on this matter will be highly appreciated.

The chances to get off the waitlist for anybody, international or otherwise, is pretty slim. I’m not sure what you’re looking for people to say/tell you, but all I’ll say is don’t “wait out” the waitlist–send (an) additional teacher recommendation(s), an email expressing your interest, acedemic work showcasing your intelligence, other accomplishments since applying, etc!
I’m also trying to get off the waitlist at some other schools, so hopefully you can take my spot  lol!

@Undecided97 If you really want to get into Grinnell, you should make sure that you express interest beyond accepting your position on the waitlist. The one individual I know who successfully made it off the waitlist sent in an additional letter of recommendation, updates on new organizations he/she joined, mid-term grade reports, a short essay saying why Grinnell was for him/her, etc… Good luck and be persistent!
