I am from Ethiopia. i have a B.sc degree in electrical egineering/computer ,two years of experince and planning to take GRE. Unfortunately i have low CGPA. Is there any chance of geting in? high score in GRE help?
thank u

Hi tibeman,

Not to burst your bubble, but MIT is probably the most selective school for EECS there is. Unless you have an awesome publication record plus recommendations from professors who are really well known in the field and have a lot of good to say for you, you’re not going to get into MIT.

GRE/GPA is a very small part of the admissions process at a school like MIT. In fact, they don’t even require the GRE.

Please don’t be discouraged - there are a ton of good schools out there for EECS.

Thank you for the comment. and i know that it is the hardest college to get in. But what do you suggest in ur view.

As a fellow applicant, I would suggest looking at quality graduate schools that offer programs in your area of interest.

as i said i have low CGPA . do u know some colleges that would most likely accept this

thank u

Your exact numbers would help.
