Chance Please?!

<p>Alright. I took the ACT for the first time and got a composite score of 30. I had a 34 in english, 27 in math, 26 in science, and 33 in reading (with a 10 writing score).</p>

<p>GPA: At my school, only AP classes are weighted and with that I have <em>just</em> over a 4.0. I have only taken non-honors classes when there is no honors offered.</p>

<p>AP CLASSES: I have taken AP Psychology and AP Calculus AB. </p>

<p>This year I am taking AP Econ, AP Calc BC, AP Gov, AP Lit, and AP Phsyics.</p>

<p>Extra Cirriculars:</p>

<p>-I am a member of SkillsUSA for 3 years and have placed 2nd in state for OCC and 1st in state for extemp speaking
-I am a member of our Speech team for 3 years
-I have written for the newspaper for 2 years
-I'm a member of an inner-school mentoring program
-I am an NHS officer
-I have been in band for 4 years, and am currently a section leader and the band manager
-in the summer I attend a one week science day camp at a nearby college
-I probably have 150ish hours of community service through various volunteering and helping to organize "Project Santa" in which we plan and execute a Christmas party for women and children in a domestic abuse shelter</p>

<p>...yesterday I found out that I got a 34 on my second try of the ACT. (34 in english, 33 in science, 36 in reading, and a 30 in math. Again, a 10 in writing)</p>

<p>I'm applying ED to CAS. So...what are my chances? </p>

<p>P.S. I'm a white female from Minnesota</p>

<p>A 34 is definitely a solid score so congrats! That’s awesome. A bit over a 4.0 weighted while it sounds good, I’m not sure what that translates to unweighted. Considering AP is the only weighted classes and you only have 2 I assume your unweighted is 3.8-3.9 which is awesome but then again only 2 AP classes. Your ECs are slightly less than average, it seems that you have no hook, so all in all I would say it is a definite reach. Your ACT is very good but so is that of many students with harder classes, better ECs and more. To be 100% honest I think unless your essays are INCREDIBLE or you have a hook that does not appear on your post (Underrepresented Minority, Legacy, Recruited Athlete) I think your chance are about 3-5 percent. If you do have a hook this will jump enormously, but purely as a student I will have to say I predict a rejection. This is to be honest, not mean. Good luck! :)</p>
