Chance please!

Ok, let me start off by saying, I know that Georgetown is a big reach for me, but i just want to know if i have any chance at all.

Ok i would apply to the school of nursing and health science, specifically health care and management policy.

currently a junior at a really good, small private school in CT

Grades/Scores are low(really low) for georgetown. Just got psat's back, CR:710, Math:550, and Gtown doesn't' care about writing. Just took the ACT's so i don't kno what i got on those yet. Slight upward trend in grades, won't get too specific but unweighted freshman year B, soph B+, right now A-, senior year probably same maybe a little better. once i graduate i will have take 8 or 9 ap/honors classes, and for the non honors/ap, and hard non ap/honors. My school just started weighing ap/honors this year so not sure how they do it yet.

Non-Academic: Model UN, school literary magazine, Executive tour guide at my school, Prefect(the most prestigious leadership senior position at my school), just started an internship at a program that basically researches health and education innovations/practices and the administration and policy of these. Every summer since 8th grade I've worked/volunteered at two programs, both basically promoting education for inner city kids while combining learning with fun. by the time i graduate ill have about 200 hours community service.

Don't need financial aide

Haven't started college app process, but i assume my Essay's will b good as writing is my strong suit, and i hope/expect my rec letters will be really good.

Caucasian(jewish if it matters) male

My hope was, possibly my subpar grades/scores could b overlooked b/c of my interest and involvement in areas that are directly related to what i would be doing at georgetown(Health policy)

Please, any input is greatly appreciated(even if its not positive!) I'm just trying to find out if its worth looking at, Thanks!!

oh, also, varsity tennis since freshmen year, but i missed sophomore year b/c of knee surgery, and i also used to play soccer at school, but tearing my acl twice in less than a year put an end to that

anyone? please???

Your grades and test scores could be higher, but I think if you write essays that stand out and have good teacher recs you have a shot at getting in. Your volunteering and research program are strong ECs that will help you get in. Good luck!

Also, even if you don’t think you can get in, stay positive because admissions can be weird sometimes. There’s no set formula for getting into Gtown or any other school, so be confident and it might just pay off!

Thanks! i really appreciate the input

anyone else?
