Hello, I have currently applied to Pomona College and am really unsure whether I will get in or not. I have a 2100 SAT (700 R, 790 M, 610 W) 33 ACT, and have taken 2 AP Tests (5 Apush, 3 Ap Lit). I am currently taking 5 AP classes my senior year. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and 4.2 weighted GPA. I am 7th in my class of 350. For extracurriculars, I am in my school's speech and debate class and am District Champion in Public Forum Debate. I have competitively bowled my entire life, placing 5th in Canada in 2007. I am part of our school's Interact Club (Rotary), and volunteer for Bend Parks and Recreation, the Humane Society, and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was 5, so have been greatly involved with JDRF. I attended a National Student Leadership Conference last summer at UC Berkeley. I am pretty confident in my essays and reccomendations. These are just the basic stats, but if you would like to know more, I can provide more statistics. I greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you very much.

Your numbers are strong, the only concern I have regarding them is your weighted GPA (it seems low, but it could just be how your school weights things). You are lacking a little in leadership, but the rest of your ECs are strong. I would call it a low reach, mainly because Pomona is basically never a match (they are just too competitive), strong essays will help you.

Thanks for responding. I am also a Questbridge Finalist, so I think that that would help too. But I greatly appreciate it.
