I understand I have a low GPA but I was wondering if my test scores could help my situation.
My teacher recs and counselor rec should be really good
Would it help my case if I talked about a hook/something really different in my personal statement [EX: being gay in a conservative family]

You have excellent statistics Your weighted GPA is probably a 3.5 so you’re good no worries. Your test scores are excellent. And yes to your question about your personal statement. Chances>>Most likely: NYU UCSD Likely: Tufts, Northeastern (Im saying this based off 2 kids in my school who got in they actually had worse stats than you but i go to a very rigorous HS and they took all IB classes so that helped and u say ur school is rigorous…) Reach (Moderate to Least likely to get in): UCLA, USC, Georgetown (these have gotten even more selective than before now…)
Don’t sweat it I go to a competitive HS in Nyc and I only got denied from 1 college out of 20…your school profile will really help you since you take AP classes also i took all IB lol…also due to your statistics good state schools like IU bloomington u can go to and still get a good job after you graduate don’t just focus on these very selective schools :slight_smile: Good luck Lel
