Chance/Suggestions for Columbia Junior Xfer

<p>Hey,</p>

<p>My stats are:</p>

<p>Major: Neurobiology</p>

<p>upcoming sophomore (in the "honors" program) at ~50th Univeristy in USA (as ranked by US News & World Report)</p>

<p>SATs: M: 660 R: 800 W: 780 (Top scores of 2 tests, I got basically the same scores on both tests with ~20 pt. difference)</p>

<p>Math II : 780
Biology : 770
US History: 760
Physics: 720
Chemistry: 720
(Which, if any, of these scores should I send?)</p>

<p>College GPA: 3.94 Unweighted
High School GPA: ~3.2-3.3 Unweighted </p>

<p>APUSH: 5
APWorldHist: 5
AP AB Calc: 5</p>

<p>College:
1. Spinal Cord Injury Research--paid, during this summer, 40hours/wk 2months, Also did 10hrs/wk during school year (No publication yet)
2. EMT--Paramedic Assistant volunteering (10hrs/wk during summer)
3. Volunteered in ER at hospital (5hrs/wk during summer)
4. Shadowed Orthopedic hand surgeon (5hrs/wk during school year)
5. Head of Finances in Microbiology Club
6. Member of various cultural clubs & medical/science/engineering clubs.</p>

<p>Summer after Highschool:
1.Volunteered @ hospital (8hrs/wk during summer)
2.Earned EMT-B certification & EMT volunteering in ER (10hrs/wk)
3.Shadowed Cardiovascular surgeon: 40 hrs
4.Shadowed Anesthesiologist & Nephrologist: 20 hrs each</p>

<p>Recs: Plan to get 1 from Bio teacher, 1 from Psych/Stats teacher, 1 from Neurosurgeon I am doing spinal cord injury research w/. Do I need more--can I send more?</p>

<p>Recs will be decent, nothing special.</p>

<p>Since I'll be applying this year I still have 1 more semester to go(fall semester)--do you suggest I do anything else? What do you think my chances are?</p>
