<p>I am a current sophomore and am looking at applying to these colleges... (I'm very aware that some of these are a longshot for anyone..)</p>

<p>ACT: 33--plan to retake as a junior next year. I will have taken a prep course and studied and refined areas I scored lower in (Aiming for a 34 or 35)
SAT: Yet to take, will most likely take twice next year.</p>

<p>GPA: w: 4.6 or 4.7 (projected gpa, am considering the courses I will be taking throughout my high school career)
w/o: 3.9 ( projected gpa, I have improved greatly since freshman year when I was having health issues. I mangaged to get a 3.7 freshman year, a solid 4.0 sophomore year. I plan to be above a 3.7 junior year and senior year as I put a great amount of effort into my grades)</p>

<p><strong>Please keep in mind that I am taking almost every honors/AP course available at our school.</strong></p>

<p>AP Test scores: I have yet to take them, but I have studied for the exam year round so I am hoping to get at least a 4. </p>

Student Council
Founder/President of first UNICEF club in state (heavy on fundraising/advocacy of relief, education, etc., for underprivileged children in Africa, Asia, etc. Takes up A LOT of my time I have spent countless hours on this and am very dedicated to it. We've participated in local expos, lectures, etc..)
Academic Team (Won our district 3 years in a row)
Volunteer swim coach for special needs elementary students (started soph. year.)
Junior Leadership--Earned 3 College Credits through this program
Long-term volunteer at Children's Hospital-began through a selective process, continued after program eneded, by senior year hundreds of hours spent here
Voluneer Student Teacher at the local Children's Discovery Center-volunteer here every summer and will continue to do so
Job at local business since middle of sophomore year

<p>--My main concentration is obviously education. I do want to go into education and will emphasize this when I apply. I have spent countless hours working with/for children and am very passionate about their education and well-being. I feel like this is my angle I will take when writing my application essay.</p>

<p>-Economic Situation: My family has been extremely supportive. We are tight on money and the budget doesn't allow for me to go to summer college programs as I would like to. However, we make the best of it and I always take advantage of local opportunities.</p>

<p>Obviously, I cannot provide the full list of statistics that will end up on my resume. This is what I undoubtably forsee as of now. The ECs I have listed are what I am currently involved in or what I have been accepted into. I know this is not a lot to work off of, but please provide your best guess. Thank you!!</p>
