<p>I have a 2.83 UC GPA
BUT I have and a 3.7 ish weighted, I can't quite remember and I don't have a transcript on hand.</p>

<p>Making it a 2.7ish unweighted</p>

<p>But here is the catch:</p>

<p>-I have ~150 hrs of community service
-Full honor classes my entire career
-IB Diploma Candidate (I will have it when I graduate)
-Boys State Alumni
-I was in foster care for awhile and have a good life story
-Low income family
-Minority (Asian-White mix)
-2200 SAT Reasoning, have yet to take my subjects</p>

<p>What are my chances of getting into a better school like a UC, I dont really have plans for a CSU seeing as all this hard work in highschool will seem like a waste.</p>

<p>I plan on being an art major and I have a huge portfolio and I am really good at what I do. (digital arts)</p>

<p>I would say in regards to the state schools and the UCs your chances look good when it comes to GPA and ECs and your income and life story should make you an interesting student for them to want at their school. But it will all come down to your GPA and whether it meets their min req and if they think everything else outweighs it.</p>
