Chance threads in College forums

Hi!

I was browsing through my College’s Class of 2014 website on CC. I don’t know why there are so many ‘chance me’ threads when there is a subsection in CC that’s devoted to students who want to figure out what their chances are.

This is how I define the chance me section. It’s a lot more general, “chacne me” for any school you want to apply to.

However, if I am interested in Cornell, for example, then I can get responses from students and sometime admission rep of Cornell. They can share their true experiences with the OP…

I know MIT has an admission rep here on CC. I don’t remember about Cornell…

To keep it short, not every school has its own forum, so Chance me should exist.
If you want to ask opinions from students of a special school, and that school has its own forum, it is often encourage to make a thread there.

I meant that the ‘chance me’ threads posted by members should be restricted to ‘What are my chances’ section. People who go to the college forums are interested in the college, not high schoolers who want to get in, imho
