Chance to transfer to Penn state University Park

Hi guys, I’m an international student trying to transfer to Penn state as Electrical Engineering. I haven’t gotten any admission letter yet. I’m currently having 60 credit hours including this semester and GPA is 3.78 (B on two 5 credit hours courses). I’ve met all requirements if I finish this semester. What is my chance to get in Penn state? Thanks for your honest opinion.

Someone will know for certain, but I think transferring to Engineering must be practically impossible. It’s one of the most difficult schools to enter as a first-year, so transferring in must be harder than that, I would assume.

I think if I remember correctly I was told you can’t transfer in and it could be because of the 2+2 program. Both eng and earth and minerals

@greenbutton I already for in Purdue, so I assume it might be a bit easier to get in.

@greenbutton got in*

Keep us updated on Penn State would be interested in knowing if they offer transfers in engineering

You can transfer to electrical engineering other majors can’t

Where are you currently attending? CC? branch? 4-year ? Abroad?

@airway1 correct. That’s why I applied for EE.

@MYOS1634 I’m transferring from CC.

PA CC’s don’t lead to Penn State but to the PASSHE schools. So your stats are excellent but you may end up having to retake a lot of classes. Are you ready for that if you get in?
Overall, I think your odds are quite good.

@MYOS1634 I will have to take every factors into consideration including what you just said. Thank you!
