Chance to transfer?

Hi I am currently a freshman at the University of Colorado at Boulder. As much as I have been enjoying the experience, I feel that overall I want a college that is a little more serious in terms of academic rigor and expectations. It would also be nice to be closer to home in Jersey.

So right now I am an undecided business major and was wondering if my numbers were good enough to apply to the university of pittsburgh as a transfer. These numbers are recent. Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

High School GPA 3.9
SAT 1790(64 W, 52 M, 63 CR)
First semester GPA 3.05

Thanks again!

I think you have a good chance. However I doubt there is much difference in rigor between Pitt and CU. In either place, you can choose rigorous courses or not so much. In some programs, the freshman year is less challenging as you get requirements out of the way. Once you get into your major courses, I bet Colorado would have more rigor as well. Of course it also depends on the program.
