Chance! will chance back.

<p>I'll be 17 years old at the time of transfer
Applying to all the UC's. Tagged for UCD, I hope I get accepted :x
I am currently a sophomore at a california community college.</p>

<p>I graduated two years early from high school (left after my sophomore year) due to financial reasons (i had to help my parents out because they're getting older- and in the long run this would be the smarter financial decision). </p>

<p>Anyways, here are my stats:
ACT Composite: 35/34
College GPA: 4.0
High School GPA: 3.9 </p>

<p>major of interest: anthropology (with a minor in public health)
EC:
Vice-president anthropology club
-internship at non-profit organization dealing with middle eastern/north african culture
-creator and head of music teaching program at a non-profit organization that caters to children from low-income areas suffering from mental disorders
-creator and head of cultural enrichment program at the same place listed previously
-tutor for reading at low-income school
-soprano student at music conservatory for 3 years
-presented&won anthropology symposium at school (presented on original research on anthropological topic
-i work at a local pharmacy as a clerk for the past two years
-been helping out at my dad's small business for the last four years
-created a youth council that is active in local govt.
-research on cancer cells (tested various pharmaceutical drugs)</p>

<p>So since you tagged I’m assuming you will have more than 30 units and will have 60 at the time of transfer? and if that is the case then since you are tagged seems like a done deal as long as you fulfill the agreement. So with this your ACT and H.S. GPA will not play as a factor as you have more than 30 units. Reading your EC’s and background you put, I think you can make a very good personal statements.
How about you IGETC and transferable major classes? have you completed them all?
check using assist.org, I wouldn’t stress to much you are in better shape than a lot of us posters here and your circumstances are probably harder than most and you are maintaining very good grades.
I checked for UCLA [Profile</a> of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2012 - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](<a href=“http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof12_mjr.htm]Profile”>http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof12_mjr.htm)
anthropology major with a B.A. they accept about 60% of applicants with about a 3.6 GPA. So I think you are good there I don’t know about UCB, but for all the other UC’s including UCLA I think you have good chances.</p>

<p>i have completed everything! and finished all the major requirements for all UC’s. IGETC. Major pre. DONE.
:]</p>

<p>Yeah Good Job and Good Luck, you should worry more about maintaining those grades and applying for scholarships than worry about getting into colleges lol.</p>
